The measures that foresee a wage increase, in addition to the one set forth by the sectoral collective agreement, of 10% for work at weekends, an allowance for work on 6 days a week, “Supportive Personal Time Off” and paid holiday on the employee’s birthday have been confirmed for the 2024 financial year as well.
HNH Hospitality S.p.A., which has recently obtained the “Great Place to Work®” certification, has announced they are extending the economic terms applied to their employees.
The company, the first in the sector to provide wage increases after announcing the measures in May 2023, has confirmed the entire package of measures for 2024 as well for its entire community of over 900 employees.
In particular, the initiative provides for each hour of work done on Saturdays and Sundays a further 10% wage increase calculated on the aggregate national base pay in effect in the month, in addition to what is set forth in art. 85 of the National Collective Labor Agreement in force.
A gross allowance of €25.00 for work organized over 6 days instead of 5 has also been confirmed. The allowance will be distributed with reference to all the Monday to Sunday weeks, with 6 days worked out of 7, regardless of the day off scheduled. The allowance will be given together with the pay for each month with reference to all the weeks that were finished in that month.
Finally, the “Supportive Personal Time Off” measure will be extended. This is a possibility dedicated to those who have a difficult personal or family situation to have extra hours off, which are anonymously and voluntarily donated by colleagues and the company – joined with the important initiative that counts HNH Hospitality as an innovator in the sector: a paid holiday on the employee’s birthday.
“In a global context with high inflation, we feel it is even more important that HNH Hospitality continues to give concrete responses to our employees by improving their work conditions. – commented Costabile Giordano, Chief Human Resources Officer of the HNH Hospitality Group – Extending the entire package of measures is synonymous with making a commitment to the HNH community after the success of various initiatives in these months.”
The measures are in effect from 1 November 2023 until 31 October 2024. HNH Hospitality reserves the intention to extend them further in relation to added value and sustainability in the long term.
