H.n.h. Hotels and Resorts announces new opening in Bologna in 2016

The H.n.H. Hotels & Resorts Group expands its portfolio with the upcoming Hotel opening in Bologna. This new addition brings the number of business Hotels to six, for a total of eleven properties, including the Leisure segment.

H.n.h. Hotels & Resorts and Generali Real Estate S.G.R signed the rental agreement for the lease of the building known as Hotel Tower in Bologna yesterday. Generali Real Estate S.G.R. operated through the Effepi Real Estate Fund – a closed-end contribution fund, consisting of 26 properties provided by the Corporate Pension Fund of Unicredit Group. In this transaction, Cushman and Wakefield Hospitality Department acted as advisor to Generali for the operator selection.

After the opening of the 5-Star Almar Jesolo Resort & Spa in 2014, H.n.h. Hotels and Resorts chooses the regional capital of Emilia Romagna for its development strategy.

The Hotel, which is expected to open in the first quarter of 2016, will be associated with an international brand from the very beginning. At this moment there is no advanced information on the affiliation agreement, which is still being finalized.

The Hotel features 149 rooms, 17 meeting rooms, a spacious restaurant and a gym spread over 18 floors. The building, built in the 90s, has undergone extensive renovation in 2008 and a comprehensive makeover during 2015.

The Hotel is strategically located directly on the Bologna bypass, just 5 minutes from the A4 motorway and 4 Km from the historic center and Bologna exhibition center. The airport is a mere 10 minutes by car.

H.n.h. Hotels & Resorts aims at developing the business segment by offering dedicated services and facilities and by enhancing the remarkable advantages provided by the Hotel’s strategic location and spacious interiors. A business hotel, easily accessible by car, that leisure travelers will also find enticing when visiting the city center and during exhibitions and trade shows.

“We are very satisfied with this agreement,” says Luca Boccato, CEO of H.n.h. Hotels & Resorts Group. “We are convinced there’s tremendous growth potential for Bologna, both as a business events destination and as a tourist destination. We believe that the Tower, for which we are currently finalizing name and brand affiliation, is an excellent product in terms of structure, size and location. We intend to use our experience and know-how to enhance the property in terms of organization and service.”

“ The Group is closing the 2015 fiscal year successfully,” concludes Luca Boccato. “Thanks to these new openings, and a widespread increase in demand, we expect to close 2015 with a group turnover exceeding EUR 29 million, an almost 20% increase on a comparable scope of consolidation with the previous year. The estimates for 2016 are also positive; we are counting on an additional growth in revenue irrespective of the new openings.”
