First Semester 2016: Total turnover of EUR 13,15 million, up 8,5% (+2,3% on a comparable basis)

H.n.h. Hotels and Resorts confirms the upward trend observed over the past years, closing the first half of 2016 with EUR 13.15 million operating revenues, up 8.5% compared to the first half of 2015, when the company recorded revenues of EUR 12.121 million.

Data collected on the same scope of consolidation, thus excluding the results of BEST WESTERN PLUS Tower Hotel in Bologna, which joined the Group in February 2016, however, show a 2.3% growth rate, confirming the Group’s positive performance.

In the first six months of 2016, the occupancy rate (OR) dropped to 62.4%, compared to 67.7% over the same period in 2015. The opening of the Tower in Bologna in the course of the year certainly had an impact on this variable. Based on the same scope of consolidation, in fact, the decline in O.R. does not exceed 66.2%.

The Average Daily Rate (ADR), however, confirms its positive trend, rising from EUR 100.1 in 2015 to EUR 103.9 (+3,8%) in 2016, performing better (EUR 104,9) even on a consolidated basis (+4,8%).

Luca Boccato, CEO of the Group, comments on these results: “ despite the fact that these are only partial figures, which can still be marginally affected by the performance of the leisure hotels during the summer season, we are very satisfied with the results achieved over the past six months, overall in line with budget forecasts, but exceeding expectations in some of the market segments that we consider strategic. After the startup phase, Almar Jesolo Resort & Spas operating performance has contributed substantially to the increase in the Group’s A.D.R., and we are confident that the new Hotel in Bologna, with its strong business/ conference vocation, will, in the coming months, achieve its targets despite being still relatively behind in the startup process.”

Our sales projections for the second half of this year are also positive and we expect a further increase in the Group’s total turnover for 2016, estimated at over 31 million Euros, with growth of over 5% compared to 2015.In recent months, alongside the ordinary management of our Hotels, we made a significant commitment to new projects in the pipeline confirming our intention to constantly expand our portfolio and target the Luxury and Upper upscale segments “.
