2014 has been a year of innovation and validation for the H.n.H. Hotels and Resort Group: on the one hand, the opening of Almar Jesolo Resort & Spa, the first 5-star Hotel in the Group which opened in May 2014, on the other the positive results recorded by the 4-star Hotels in the Group.
The overall turnover showed a 40% increase compared to the previous fiscal year, rising from 17.2 mln Euro in 2013 to 24.1 mln Euro in 2014.
On a comparable scope of consolidation, without taking into account the results of BEST WESTERN CTC Hotel in Verona, which joined the Group in July 2013, and of Almar Jesolo Resort & Spa, which opened in May 2014, the Group’s percentage growth stands at +2.1% compared to the previous fiscal year, with total revenue of 15.8 mln Euro.
The occupancy rate shows a slight decline in comparison with the previous year, as a result of the efforts of launching Almar. The occupancy rate decreased from 71.6% in 2013 to 67.7% in 2014, despite showing positive results on a comparable scope of consolidation (+76.6%). The ADR, however, reported a 9.6% increase, driven by the higher room rates applied by the new higher category Hotel.
Room sales showed a substantial 25% increase, with 2014 exceeding a staggering 330,000 visitors.
“We knew that 2014 would be a challenging year” says Luca Boccato, CEO of the Group “ but we can only be pleased with the results, in spite of the adverse impact caused by difficult external circumstances such as tourism activities coming to a standstill and decreasing prices, which were further aggravated by a rainy summer season, and by internal circumstances such as the expenses and start-up operations of Almar Jesolo Resort & Spa”.
“For 2015”, continues the CEO, “with all the facilities up to speed, we estimate a turnover close to 28 mln, generated by a balanced growth of all parameters: +1% for the occupancy rate and + 8.6% for the ADR.”
