Positive first half of 2018 for H.n.h. Hotels and Resorts, which records 2% growth, bringing revenues to 14.3 million Euro

  • Occupancy rate (O.R.) up 2.7% to 73.2%
  • Year-end turnover up over 2% to approximately € 34 million

H.n.h. Hotels and Resorts, closed the first six months of 2018 with operating income of 14.3 million Euro, a 2% increase over the previous year’s 14.05 million Euro (on a like-for-like basis and therefore not including data pertaining to the Adriatic Palace Hotel in Jesolo, now outside the perimeter), in line with the expectations and the budget set for the current year.

An analysis of the key performance indicators confirms an occupancy growth of 2.7%, from 71.2% in the first half of 2017 to this year’s 73.2%.  The overall data (RevPAR), which indicates the revenue generated per available room, recorded a 0.9% growth, while the average daily room rate (ADR) showed a slight decline, down 1.6% to € 99.6 in the first half of 2018 compared to € 101.2 in the first six months of 2017.

Luca Boccato, the Group’s CEO, commented: We are satisfied with the results achieved in this first semester, substantially in line with those of last year, which proved to be truly remarkable for the hospitality sector, resulting in performance beyond expectations. Some of our destinations are operating successfully and experiencing a considerable increase in arrivals, particularly Verona and Bologna. The Venice area, on the other hand, is seeing a substantial increase in room availability, as a result of alternative accommodation offered by private channels. In Jesolo, the increasing presence of loyal guests and the accolade of important international awards confirms the appreciation for the quality of our leisure facilities. Finally, we remain confident for the remainder of the year, supported by the positive performance of the first weeks of the summer season, which is expected to close in line with forecasts, at around 34 million Euros in turnover”.
