{"id":5993,"date":"2020-05-20T13:18:15","date_gmt":"2020-05-20T11:18:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.hnh.it\/?p=5993"},"modified":"2020-09-03T13:15:26","modified_gmt":"2020-09-03T11:15:26","slug":"revenue-in-the-first-semester-of-2020","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.hnh.it\/en\/news\/revenue-in-the-first-semester-of-2020\/","title":{"rendered":"HNH Hospitality revenue at \u20ac7.5 million in the first semester of 2020"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul>\n<li><strong>Occupancy rate dropped to 53.7%, ADR at \u20ac69.70 (-5.7%)<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Hit by hotel closures since the first half of March, 4 hotels out of 13 reopened, 5 will be open by the end of the month <\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Available rooms fell by 37% in the semester compared to forecasts.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>HNH Hospitality, one of the main independent hotel operators in Italy, closes the first semester of 2020 with operating revenue at \u20ac7.5 million, down by 13.1% compared to \u20ac8.7 million the previous year. For the first time HNH Hospitality closed the semester on 30 April, having changed the end of the financial year in 2019 to 31 October of each year.<\/p>\n<p>Despite the margin expansion during the 2019 solar year, thanks to the 5 new hotels opened or acquired, the results of the first semester are well below expectations following the closure of all the hotels due to the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic, which hit all of Europe in the first days of March.<\/p>\n<p>The key performance indicators, although in decline, do not entirely explain the loss of revenue due to the lockdown the country endured. It must be considered that the hotel closures led to a 37% decrease in available rooms in the semester that has just closed. With this premise, the occupancy rate fell from 69.5% in the first semester of 2019 to 53.7% this year. The ADR dropped 5.7% to \u20ac69.70 compared to \u20ac73.90 in the first six months of 2019.<\/p>\n<p>Luca Boccato, CEO of the Group, says: <em>\u201cIt\u2019s difficult to comment on these results. Revenue is well below our forecasts, even worse. In March, we had to suddenly close all the hotels in just a few days, and only recently, on 11 May, we could get back to business, reopening the Best Western CTC in Verona. Over the last few days, we also reopened the DoubleTree by Hilton in Trieste, the Crowne Plaza in Padua and the Best Western Tower in Bologna. We have already planned the reopening of the Almar Jesolo Resort &amp; SPA on 28 May and of the Park Hotel Brasilia, always in Jesolo on 4 June. Other reopenings \u2013 <\/em>continues Luca Boccato<em> \u2013 will depend greatly on the trend of restrictive measures and market response. In any case, we count on reopening all hotels by summer.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>The economic results \u2013 <\/em>concludes the CEO of HNH Hospitality<em> \u2013 will inevitably be well below expectations.
