Our <strong>commitment to sustainable tourism<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>One of the main projects that HNH Hospitality has embraced is <strong>\u201cStayPlasticLess\u201d<\/strong>,\u00a0an environmental protection plan fruit of the historic collaboration between\u00a0<strong>Best<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Western\u00a0and\u00a0LifeGate<\/strong>.\u00a0Thanks to the contribution of the hoteliers and stays by clients by 30 September 2019 at one of the 180 Italian structures in the group (five of which are currently entirely managed by HNH Hospitality) there is an operation to finance the purchase of four Seabin LifeGates, devices used to collect plastic and microplastics from the sea. The first Seabin LifeGate of Best Western has already been inaugurated in Santa Margherita Ligure and the next one will be on 1 August in Palermo. September will see them in Venice and Pescara.<\/p>\n<p>The project rests on three pillars: training and support for <strong>sustainable purchases<\/strong>, assessing virtuous behavior with consequent ratings and raising awareness and involving guests at the structures. A challenge that aims to cut the use of plastic in the hotels by decreasing the use of single-use objects. This initiative joins <strong>\u201cStay for the Planet\u201d<\/strong>, a project launched a few years ago, aimed at reducing the environmental impact of hotel structures by promoting energy efficiency practices and staff training.<\/p>\n<p>The green commitment of HNH Hospitality does not stop here: all hotels in the Group and the Headquarter, located in Venezia Mestre, use energy from renewable sources. Hydroelectric plants located in the Dolomite mountains exploit the power of water to generate <strong>100% certified clean energy<\/strong>. This choice allowed the entire Group to consume 6,717,079 kWh in 2018, avoiding emitting 2,137,360 kg of CO 2 into the atmosphere.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, all the structures with the exception of Hotel Indigo Venice &#8211; Sant\u2019Elena (located in the lagoon) and the Grand Hotel Des Arts di Verona (recently joined the Group), have the objective to <strong>boost electric mobility<\/strong> in order to reduce atmospheric pollution by <strong>free-of-charge electric columns that permit recharging the vehicles<\/strong> of guests staying at one of the 10 hotels managed by the Group.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cWe want our company choices to be guided by Corporate Social Responsibility &#8211; says Luca Boccato, CEO of HNH Hospitality \u2013 implementing concrete and tangible actions: 100% of the electric energy in our hotels is not produced by carbon, oil or gas plants, 80% of our suppliers are at zero kilometers, 50% of our hotels have high environmental sustainability ratings.
