{"id":4508,"date":"2019-05-07T11:18:22","date_gmt":"2019-05-07T09:18:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.hnh.it\/?p=4508"},"modified":"2019-06-07T09:36:07","modified_gmt":"2019-06-07T07:36:07","slug":"hotel-indigo-venice-santelena-reopens-today","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.hnh.it\/en\/news\/hotel-indigo-venice-santelena-reopens-today\/","title":{"rendered":"Hotel Indigo Venice &#8211; Sant\u2019Elena reopens with a new look"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Originally a 1930&#8217;s Venetian convent, <strong>Hotel Indigo Venice &#8211; Sant\u2019Elena<\/strong> is a sophisticated and modern<strong> boutique hotel<\/strong> immersed in the peaceful oasis of the Biennale Gardens, which joins past and present and now boasts a radical renovation.<br \/>\nThe hotel is located near two strategic places on the island: the marvelous Memorial Park, considered a rare public garden in the city given its size, and the Gothic parish church built by Augustinian monks in the 11th century, famous for its impressive bell tower.<\/p>\n<p><strong>HNH Hospitality<\/strong> has chosen <strong>IHG InterContinental Hotels Group<\/strong>, the largest multinational hospitality company in the world in terms of guest rooms \u2013 825,000 and 5,500 hotels in over 100 countries \u2013 and its brand<strong> Hotel Indigo\u00ae<\/strong> as a concept to guide the restyling of Hotel Sant\u2019Elena in Venice.<br \/>\nThis choice was determined by <strong>the attention focused on the historical and cultural context<\/strong> of the structure and the strong personality that marks the Hotel Indigo\u00ae brand.<\/p>\n<p>In fact, the transformation project, developed in collaboration with the architect Manuela Mannino and her firm THDP, joins the <strong>lively and detail-rich design<\/strong>, local experiences and a well-defined identity in order to offer guests an elegant and sophisticated product.<br \/>\nThe restyling was inspired by history, particularly the strong tie between Venice and Byzantine culture (the city was considered the western gate to the Orient). Another important aspect that influenced the architect\u2019s stylistic choices is the legend hidden in the neighborhood of Sant\u2019Elena. The island, named after the Roman emperor Constantine\u2019s mother, still guards this saint\u2019s relics.<\/p>\n<p>The Hotel Indigo Venice &#8211; Sant\u2019Elena has five floors and offers <strong>75 elegant rooms<\/strong> that have been revisited and contextualized in an eclectic, reflective and premium style, where each tiny detail becomes key decor.<br \/>\nWarm shades mixed with golden touches can be traced back to Byzantine color palettes and determine the unique and refined style of the rooms.<\/p>\n<p>The ground floor hosts the <strong>reception<\/strong>, decorated by splendid lamps creating a sophisticated and harmonious atmosphere, which is ready to welcome guests from all over the world.<br \/>\nThe reception directly leads to the Food &amp; Beverage area, including a<strong> lounge bar<\/strong> and a refined <strong>restaurant<\/strong> attentive to the needs of hotel guests and external clients, which are open for breakfast and dinner and offer typical Venetian dishes.<br \/>\nThe large glass windows of the <strong>Savor Restaurant Bar &amp; Garden<\/strong> look out onto the<strong> internal courtyard<\/strong>, the cloister of the original convent: a unique location of this kind in Venice.<br \/>\nThis vast garden offers the opportunity to relax and enjoy pleasant moments immersed in the greenery and far from the frenzy in St. Mark\u2019s Square.<br \/>\nAlso facing the garden on the ground floor is a <strong>conference<\/strong> <strong>room<\/strong> that is the perfect venue for business meetings and appointments, as well as other events.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cWe are proud to start this new adventure in the historic center of Venice \u2013<\/em> comments <strong>Luca Boccato, CEO of HNH Hospitality<\/strong> <em>\u2013 the Hotel Indigo Venice-Sant\u2019Elena is the first IHG Hotel in the lagoon city and it was chosen for the attention paid to the historical and cultural context the structure is located in.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Just as two neighborhoods are never the same, two Hotel Indigo\u00ae are never identical: each one is designed to uniquely <strong>reflect the local culture<\/strong>, the character and history of the surrounding area.<\/p>\n<p>Eric Viale, Managing Director, Southern Europe, IHG, comments: <em>&#8220;The strong growth in new openings and the pipeline of our brand Hotel Indigo reflect the positive trend in the entire boutique hotel segment, which is among the fastest growing in the sector.
